About Chelten House
Chelten House is a graceful English Style Tudor Mansion, formerly the home of George Elkins (1896, 30,000 sq. feet). Enjoy beautiful views of the pond and grounds, marble bathrooms on the 2nd story, and the charm of a truly remarkable historic home during your stay.
Accommodations (4—33 guests)
2nd Story: Single or double rooms with a private or adjoining baths. Two rooms can be triple occupancy.
3rd Story: Shared rooms with shared hall bath, 3 or 4 people per room.
Meeting Space
There are three meeting spaces of various sizes available in Chelten House. Guests are encouraged to participate in the weekly yoga, meditation and dance classes held in the studio rooms or partake in the massage and therapy services offered by our associated wellness professionals.
Dining facility
Chelten House features an indoor dining area in the “Breakfast Room,” a warm space with rich wood floors, and unique stained glass windows depicting the Canterbury Tales; however, guests may elect to have meals served on the large wraparound porch while enjoying a stunning view of Seva Retreats grounds, gardens and ponds. Chelten House has a full commercial kitchen where healthy vegetarian meals are prepared for your dining pleasure.
